1. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995)
This is a story of two youngsters Raj and Simran, who meet on a EuroTrip and fall in love. This movie is one of the classic movies of Hindi Cinema and it energizes the will of going to a foreign country like Switzerland with friends. The beauty of Europe and London has been captured very well in the movie. We all just cannot get over with this movie.

2. Mission Kashmir (2000)
Hold on! I know the movie was based on terrorism but the song “socho ki jheelo ka sheher ho” has captured all the beauty of Dal Lake which is the main attraction of Kashmir. The snow-loaded mountain peaks shining in the sun, the horse-ride to Gulmarg, the shikara ride on Dal Lake and a stay on houseboat enjoying the floating markets will definitely be a lifetime memory for all of you. 3. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)
It is a story of three childhood friends who went to the same school and college.  The title track “Dil chahta hai, kabhi naa beetein chamkeele din” was featured in Goa. This song still has a remarkable impact on the youngsters even after 15 years. This song and the shots that were taken in Goa excite us to explore the city with friends.

4. Jab We Met (2007)
Not everybody likes train journeys. Not everybody interacts with random people. But this movie made train journeys look more interesting than ever before. The movie was shot in various cities such as Mumbai, Ratlam, Bhatinda, Shimla, and Manali. Breath-taking icy roads and the road trip in the song “yeh ishq haye” were truly picturesque. 5. Anjaana Anjaani (2010)
The love story of two people who are fed up with their lives, decide to fulfill their 100 wishes before dying. One of those wishes was a road trip. The duo decided to go on a road trip from New York to Las Vegas. The song “Hairat” which was beautifully shot on the lands of the valley of fire, Arizona portrayed the excitement and the enthusiasm that one would have while on the road trip with friends. 

6. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)
This is again a story of three friends who decide to overcome their fears by planning a bachelor trip to Spain. Road-Trip, Sky-Diving, Deep-Sea Diving, Tomatina Festival are enough to love Spain. This movie and its songs made a great influence on Gen Y and I am sure a lot of people must have planned their trips with friends after watching this movie.

7. Queen (2013)

A Delhi girl, whose dream of getting married gets shattered, decides to go to Paris on honeymoon alone. The simple, shy girl, who had never been out of her house alone, went to a new country, met new people, made wonderful friends and had the best time of her life on her honeymoon.  During the trip, Rani, gains confidence, transforms her personality from a shy girl to a bold one.  This movie not only captures the scenic beauty of Paris and Amsterdam but also inspires women to experience the solo trips and not feel alone & disheartened during bad times.

8. Highway (2014)

A story depicting Stockholm syndrome, where a would-be bride, who gets kidnapped just before a night of her marriage, by some local thug, eventually falls in love with him. The drive on mountainous roads of Aru Valley, Chandanwari, Pahalgam along with the song “patakha guddi” is breathtaking. The movie also includes the hills sites of Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab. I am sure we would fall in love with the elegance of these places. The places and the roads are apt for road trips.

9. Tamasha (2015)
Did you ever hear the name Corsica before this movie? I did not! This movie introduced a new destination for us. The film has featured outstanding spots such as Ajjacio, Bonifacio, Piana and all other attractions of Corsica. The songs “Matargashti” and “Agar Tum Saath Ho” seize the beauty of these scenic places quite nicely.

10. Sanam Re (2016)
The movie unable to display the love triangle though, was successful in highlighting the multiple alluring locations. This movie was shot in various Indian and Canadian cities such as Mumbai, Chandigarh, Shimla, Kalpa and Banff, Jasper, Waterton Park, Calgary. This movie is a great option to explore for mountain lovers.
