Social media updates, now the social media giant is planning to add “Facebook” with the name of “Instagram and WhatsApp” means now Instagram will become “Instagram from Facebook” and WhatsApp will turn as “WhatsApp from facebook”. This is just how uncool can Facebook make WhatsApp and Instagram. This pattern is followed by the company at the workplace but the same will be followed by every person associated with these apps. The information was given by sources but later on, Facebook confirmed this update.
In a first step towards merging all its platforms into one centralised experience for users, both the titles will be seen with the next updates of apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Facebook says that they want to be clear and specific with the products and services which are associated or owned by the company.
Facebook recently gave $5 billion settlement with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) for users’ privacy violation in the Cambridge Analytica scandal that affected 87 million users.
CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has already announced his plans for merging between Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Zuckerberg also mentioned that“There’s a lot more that we need to figure out before we finalize the plans. This is a long-term project that I think will probably be to whatever extent we end up doing it in – a 2020 thing or beyond,” the Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had said earlier this year.
Mark Zuckerberg says: “The first reason that I’m excited about this is moving more to end-to-end encryption by default in more of our products. People like this in WhatsApp. I think it’s the direction that we should be going in with more things in the future,”
According to Zuckerberg, the idea is to let people utilise the apps to enhance the experience.
