Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s father passed away in Delhi on Monday morning.
Yogi Adityanath’s dad Anand Bisht was undergoing treatment at the gastroenterology division of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, sources at the emergency clinic were cited as saying by news office PTI. He was conceded after his health weakened and his condition was critical, they said. He passed away at 10.44 am on Monday, an authority said.
“CM Yogi Adityanath’s father left for his heavenly abode at 10.44 am. Our deepest condolences,” UP Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish K Awasthi said.
In an announcement, Yogi Adityanath said he would not have the option to go to the last rituals tomorrow in light of the lockdown and his duties in the battle against coronavirus. “I am very saddened to hear the news of my father’s death. My father has always taught me to be faithful, hardworking and selfless. I wanted to be with him in his final moments, but could not due to my responsibility to protect Uttar Pradesh’s 23 crore people. I will not be able to attend the funeral tomorrow due to the lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus. I appeal to my mother and my relatives to follow the lockdown protocol while attending the funeral. I will visit after the lockdown ends,” said the Chief Minister.
He was admitted to AIIMS on March 13 and had been on a ventilator for the past numerous days. Yogi Adityanath’s dad Bisht was a previous backwoods officer.
An authority said CM Yogi Adityanath was leading a COVID-19 gathering when he was educated regarding his dad’s end.
