Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked his supporters to take the ”main bhi chowkidar” vow. He said he isn’t the only one in the battle against social wrongs.
Ahead of the general elections, BJP has launched this new campaign to counter Congress’s ‘Chowkidar Chor hai’ jibe.
PM Modi tweeted, “Your Chowkidar is standing firm & serving the nation. But, I am not alone. Everyone who is fighting corruption, dirt, social evils is a Chowkidar. Everyone working hard for the progress of India is a Chowkidar. Today, every Indian is saying-#MainBhiChowkidar.”
Modi likewise posted a three-minute video to commute home his message.
Narendra Modi has regularly portrayed himself as a “chowkidar” who might neither permit corruption nor get undermined himself.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been over and again heaving the “chowkidar chor hai” correspond at Prime Minister Modi. This is done by him to guarantee anomalies and partiality in the Rafale fighter jet deal. This was a charge that the BJP-drove government has rejected.
“Gali gali mein shor hai, Hindustan ka chowkidar chor hai,” Gandhi has often said at public rallies.
The Congress has also been using prime minister’s ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ slogan to mock the Bharatiya Janata Party over Rafale jet deal. Rahul Gandhi-led party tweeted images of PM Modi with Anil Ambani with a hashtag ‘Namumkin ab Mumkin hai’ (impossible is possible now).
Be that as it may, this campaign by PM will surely drive the narrative of Modi’s strong and decisive image.
