Karan Johar’s magnum opus Kalank‘s teaser was launched on 12th of March 2019, and the event was attended by the ensemble cast. From Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit to Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur, the stars arrived putting their best fashion foot forward. Needless to say, the women of the film looked ravishing and gave us major fashion goals.
During this Kalank air, Alia Bhatt recently made her fans go gaga over her dancing skills as the actress showed off some serious killer moves while grooving to Kalank’s first song Ghar More Pardesiya. The two lead actresses of Kalank present a beautiful jugalbandi for their viewers in Ghar More Pardesiya.
Alia Bhatt is drawing a lot of praise for her dance number in this song and now co-actor Madhuri Dixit has hailed the actor for her professionalism. In a recent interview with DNA, Madhuri and Alia have spoken about the respect they have for each other.
Speaking about Alia, Madhuri said that so much about the Student of the Year actor reminded her of her younger days. She was quoted as saying: “It was wonderful to work with Alia. She has amazing energy; she reminds me so much of myself. She’s so professional, always on time, doing her job well and just wants to finish and go home. Alia comes with absolutely no baggage and that’s a wonderful trait. What a brilliant actress she is! I don’t think we have seen someone as terrific as her in a long time. The choices she’s making are so powerful and meaningful. Alia has definitely changed the whole ball game.”
Meanwhile, Alia too was full of praise for Madhuri, especially her dancing skills and her supportive nature. She also added how she was relieved that she didn’t have to dance alongside Madhuri in her Kalank song Ghar More Pardesiya.
Alia said: “Madhuri ma’am is so sweet. Before I had begun the shoot, I was extremely nervous. Standing in the same frame, even thinking of matching up to her is impossible. But believe me, she made it so easy for all of us. She is lovely and we had a fantastic time shooting together. There’s Ghar More Pardesiya where I’m dancing around her and she’s thankfully not dancing. Otherwise, I would have just died.”
Kalank is an epic saga of love and is set in 1940s. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Karan (who has produced it) had said that it was a dream project of his father, late Yash Johar, and himself.
