IAF (Indian Air Force), during wee hours of February 26, conducted a strike in Balakot and dropped the bombs in the vicinity of the town. This strike targeted terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror groups resulting in the deaths of several terrorists. This air strike was a clear message and an answer to the attacks, executed by terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. During these attacks by the terrorist, 40 security personnel martyred.
A few Pakistani Air Force jets (including F-16 Aircrafts), attempted to cross Indian Air Space’s arena on February 27. These force jets were trailed by IAF jets when they were targeting military bases in Indian territory.
The issue of Pakistani Jets entering Indian Territory has been raised again. Indian Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, on the occasion of 20th anniversary Of Kargil War, reportedly said, “Pakistan did not come into our airspace after the Balakot strikes and none of them crossed the LOC”. His statement was a clear indication that the IAF jets scared off the Pakistan Air Force and they did attempt it again.
He also added that Pakistan failed in its goal of targeting Indian Army Bases as IAF has taken every possible step to protect military-men from Pakistan’s forces.
Pakistani Forces have been aiming to assassinate Indian Forces. However, Indian Forces have earmarked only terror camps based out in Pakistan. Perhaps, this is the reason why Indian Defence has been achieving its own objectives of executing strikes in Pakistan’s territory.
