As per the government, all metro zones such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad are declared as red zones. The ministry has come up with 14 districts in Maharashtra, 12 in Tamil Nadu, 19 in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Delhi, and 10 in West Bengal, 8 in Rajasthan, 9 each in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, that have been declared as red zones.
