Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Saturday made himself “unavailable” for the Indian team’s tour of West Indies for the INDvsWI series as speculations are seethed about his future. This makes MS Dhoni unavailable for the INDvsWI series.
As indicated by a report on PTI, the former captain, MS Dhoni who is an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army, has chosen to go through the following two months with his regiment. The report additionally said that he has suggested his choice to the BCCI before the choice advisory group meeting happened on Sunday. This makes MS Dhoni unavailable for the INDvsWI series.
BCCI official said, “Dhoni has made himself unavailable for the tour of West Indies as he will be spending two months with his paramilitary regiment.”
The authority, further asserted that MS Dhoni is now 38 years in age and is no place near resigning right now. The authority likewise included “We would like to say three things. He is not retiring from cricket right now. He is taking a two-month sabbatical to serve his paramilitary regiment which he had committed much earlier.”
Rishabh Pant is required to be the first wicketkeeper decision for team India now in Dhoni’s absence during this INDvsWI series in all the three organizations. India will play three T20 Internationals, the same number of ODIs and two Tests in the tour which is sure to begin around August 3.
