Delhi and its bordering regions will not get relief from this scorching heat till May 29 as IMD has predicted that the temperature will go above 45 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, the minimum and the maximum temperatures in the capital city would range between 26 degree Celsius to 45 degree Celsius.
The weather official also said that the temperature would oscillate between 46 to 46 degrees Celsius and after that capital city & its bordering regions will be battered by rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
There is a slight increase in the pollution levels of the capital city today. As per SAFAR (System of Air Quality & Weather Forecasting And Research), the AQI (Air Quality Index) was docked at 176 in the morning which falls in the moderate category.
Meanwhile 591 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours that makes a total of 12,910 cases with 231 deaths.
This is the second highest number of cases that were reported in a day. Also, 23 people lost their battle against this novel virus making the total count of 231.
