The spat between driving political groups Congress and BJP has gone in a different direction, ahead of the Lok Sabha surveys.

A day after the BJP pummeled Congress president Rahul Gandhi for alluding to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as ‘Masood Azhar ji’, the Congress has angled out a video of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad saying something comparable.

On Monday, Ravi Shankar Prasad had reprimanded Rahul Gandhi for calling Masood Azhar “ji” and tweeted, “Please Rahul Gandhi Ji! Earlier it were the likes of Digvijay Ji who called Osama Ji and Hafiz Saeed Sahab. Now you are saying Masood Azhar Ji. What is happening to Congress Party?”

In a tweet on Tuesday, Congress representative Priyanka Chaturvedi shared a video of Ravi Shankar Prasad alluding to psychological oppressor bunch Lashkar-e-Taiba boss Hafiz Saeed as “ji”.

In the video, Ravi Shankar Prasad can be heard saying that they had recorded an announcement by “Hafiz ji”.

Sharing the video using hashtags, #BJPLovesTerrorists, Priyanka Chaturvedi mocked and wrote, “Hope this finds pride of place in BJP’s revamped website, as and when it returns.”

She also mentioned inn her tweet, “BJP’s admiration of Hafeez Saeed and his ilk also reminds us how they sent their special emissary to Pakistan, Ved P Vaidik, to have a dialogue with him [Hafiz Saeed] and hug him. Hugplomacy began from there.”

The series was not over, in another tweet by Priyanka, she shared a picture of NSA’s Ajit Doval walking behind Jaish chief.

She mentioned it to be just a love sign pisplayed by BJP for Hafeez Saeed, Masood Azhar and his ilk.
