All the 90s babies would know how they would enjoy going down the memory lane when all they used to do was keeping themselves hooked to television as there was no internet whatsoever.

Ever wondered what is hampering today’s generation? Internet and the quality of their cartoons, they are just crap. From Cartoon Network to CN, the era of awesome cartoons ended.

Every generation has their share of cartoons, we just had a wee better.

To talk you on a walk down the memory lane, we have listed 15 cartoons that were the definition of awesomeness. These are the ones that will still make us glued to the TV set if they are played.


Our cartoons had some lessons and messages. Therefore, did the cartoon Recess. It imparted various lessons in form of entertainment. From school bullies to teacher pets, the Kids in recess dealt with all. Giving us major school goals.

Dexters Laboratory

How can someone come over Dee Dee? Remember returning from school and watching the repeated episodes of Dexter? The cartoon most amazingly portrayed the relationship a brother and a sister has. It was pure joy watching it.

Samurai Jack

Remember how the an evil demon, Aku sends Samurai Jack to the present where Aku’s wrath has been unleashed upon the world. Jack searches for a way back to the past so that he can defeat Aku and prevent this dystopian future from ever existing. The cartoon was all about courage and determination to bring in justice and defeat the evil.

The Flinstones

A cartoon that worked towards making the work life of a stone-age man work so entertaining. We all loved how they invented things in a very entertaining way.

Powerpuff Girls

The true essence of women empowerment showing the idea of 3 little girls saving the world was quiet a valuable move. A scientist using a recipe to make 3 girls who were strong enough to fight any monster made it one of the most addictive cartoon. The yellow one was the sweetest, remember?

Scooby Dooby Doo

This was the cartoon that actually elevated the love we have for dogs. It legit gave us the courage to unwrap mysteries, teaching us a major lesson that monsters our often the humans that live around. So just again let’s go ‘scoooby doobyy dooo’

Teen Titans

Remember how 5 teenagers, Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg, form the superhero team and fought off crime and evil in their home, Jump City, while also dealing with the hardships that come with adolescence. It gave us a message that come what may all of us have to face adversities.

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends

The idea of imaginary friends was explained to us by this cartoon. There imaginary friends come into existence when a child makes them up, move to the orphanage when the child outgrows them and live there until a new child adopts them. The cartoon was all about how Mac, and his imaginary friend, Bloo, and their adventures and shenanigans in the Foster house.

Dragon Tales

It was amazing to what how siblings Emmy and Max discover a magical place called Dragon Land where they meet dragons Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie and the wise and sagelike Quetzal. The kids and dragons face challenges together. Each episode had Dragon Tunes, perfect for us at home to sing along.

Oggy and the Cockroaches

The funniest cartoon of the lazy cat Oggy loved to watch TV and eat food. However, his room-mates, who happen to be three tiny cockroaches, enjoy attacking Oggy’s refrigerator and creating a messy situation. How funny was it.


The cartoon that made us all love eating spinach. Every kid started eating spinach because that would give them power to fight. This cartoon was a favourite of all the parents. What else would they want?

Johny Bravo

This cartoon taught us all that you need to love yourself and people will love you on their own. Johny Bravo for sure was able to tell us how much it is important to love and admire ourselves. And the spikes he had!

The Road Runner

The cartoon was all ours favourite summer time pass show. It was portrayed in the funniest way possible. It was all about how difficult was it to catch hold of the road runner. Remember how his legs moved while he was running.

Courage the Cowardly Dog

The cartoon was all about how a timid pink dog had a lot of paranoia problems. Courage the dog had a mission to overcome his fear and help save his owners, Eustace and Muriel, from ghosts and paranormal spirits living on the farm.

Richie Rich

The cartoon was all about how to be rich aff, go places in a chartered plane and still be down to earth. Being a millionaire himself, Richie was always upto helping others and saving lives.

Ed, Edd, Eddy

Best friends are always a bit loose in head. And when they are together, they are unstoppable source of laughter. Each episode of Ed, Edd and Eddy could leave us laughing hysterically.

The Mask

Remember how the average next-door boy Joe Stanley used to be a fun-filled person after putting the mask on. The laugh riot used to spread whenever The Mask was aired.
