If you are planning on an epic Netflix Original, you have to swing it big. And what is a better way of doing that than by binge watching the incredible episodes of Sacred Games?

The Indian masterpiece created by Netflix is one of the most epic web series to have ever dropped and is testament to how powerful visual media can be. The first season was nothing short of a grand success and to the happiness of countless fans, a second season is apparently on its way, waiting to show up on your Netflix screens anytime soon now.

If you haven’t watched the first season, the following article may give away a lot! If you have, read on to know what you can expect from the upcoming season and what all there was in the first season to connect the dots with in the upcoming one.

The teaser ends with ‘The Worst Is Yet To Come” and we couldn’t be more enthralled given how tumultuous the first season was. The mind bending plot twists along with the sheer versatility and depth in every single character makes us nail-bitingly anticipate the next move! After all, the first season has left us with a large number of unanswered questions.

With a casting that includes names like Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Luke Kenny, it virtually established that the performances are going to be beyond incredible. And since the new season will be directed by the lethal duo of Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, there is no wonder that Season 2 will have us strapped to the edge of our seats!

One of the questions which we eagerly wait for an answer to is Trivedi’s fate. It is the climax of Sacred Games Season 1 which left us all gripped in anticipation and run into endless debates regarding what the ending really meant and where it is going to lead to next. Did Trivedi survive after what has happened to him? Or is he dead and won’t play any role in the forthcoming season? This is one question to which we are definitely looking forward to some answers.

Secondly, we have some very pivotal questions about the story behind ‘Guruji’. In the upcoming season, Pankaj Tripathi will play a critical role and we cannot wait to see what it really is all about after all. Being Gaitonde’s ‘third father’ is certainly a title which comes with an enormous amount of background. There must be some very interesting ways by which he fits into this highly intricate puzzle. We are expecting to find out all about it in the upcoming season!

Thirdly, there is definitely more to Gaitonde’s story. The narration, we are sure isn’t over! As the trailer has hinted, we are soon to be treated more with the relish with which this kingpin narrates his tale and his next moves on the city of Mumbai. This is one more area which currently is hidden under thick clouds of smoke, which we hope the coming season will whiff away.

In the first season, we saw how Sartaj gained new found confidence by stumbling upon this massive case. Right now, we expect Sartaj to be in a position of leadership and take the show forward on his own accord. What will be massively interesting to witness is the sheer evolution of his role and its strengthening by the minute, something which we expect the second season to showcase brilliantly. On top of it, we couldn’t have enough of Saif Ali Khan’s extraordinary performance playing this principled and dedicated cop of the Mumbai Police.

Jatin Sharma shall once again be playing the character of Bunty and we couldn’t be happier about it. What this also means is, the story of Bunty hasn’t come to an end and there is more to it. He did die on the first season but we expect the directors to take us into flashbacks into Bunty’s life and sew it immaculately with the overall plot.

Lastly, we do wish to witness more of Kukkoo ka Jadoo, a character brilliantly played by Kubra Sait.

Reading the books of Sacred Games may unveil the plot to the viewer but given the directors being Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, it is going to be hard to take eyes off the screen.
