35 saal pehle hum log azaadi jeete, lekin izzat jeetna abhi baki hai kaptaan!
Literal Goosebumps! After a long wait, 83’s trailer was released on November 30, and it has left many Indians (irrespective of their love for cricket) emotional. Reminiscing India’s first cricket’s big win and recollecting all those short stories for the movie, 83, must have been an arduous task. Despite all challenges, Kabir Khan did an outstanding job and delivered a drift of emotions through 83’s trailer.
Ever since the cast of 83 dropped on the internet, the fans have been going gaga over Deepveer and the debut of Ammy Virk & Hardy Sandhu as Bollywood actors. Ranveer Singh stars as Kapil Dev and his real wife, Deepika Padukone, is his reel wife in the movie. Deepika is playing Romi Bhatia, the first and the last love of Kapil Dev.
83’s trailer has already made us nostalgic and left goosebumps. The story is just not about Kapil Dev and how he inspired his fellow players to believe in themselves, but it’s about the journey of cricket in India. It’s about those stalwarts who were the first ones to kickstart cricket as a career in India.

Talking about the acting, Ranveer and his nuances of Kapil’s diction is the show-stealer. Deepika and her character always aww the audience. This time too, her character of Romi Bhatia is so subtle and to the point. Besides Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu, Tanmay Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, and Sahil Khattar are starred in the movie.
Remember how we started this article? Remember who said that dialogue? Yes! We can’t skip mentioning the golden actor of contemporary times, Pankaj Tripathi. He portrays the role of PR Man Singh, the manager of the Indian cricket team, back in 1983.
The film was originally scheduled to hit theatres in 2020 but due to COVID-19, the release of 83 got delayed.
The trailer has been trendy ever since Deepika posted it on her Instagram account.
