2.0 is an Indian science fiction starring Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth. This duo makes this movie more special as for the first time ever in the history of Indian cinema, we are watching a bollywood biggie, portraying the role of villain in a tollywood movie. The picture has been directed by S. Shankar who also directed “Robot” which was cinematographically impressive.

With the collaborating hands of Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar, this film is a treat for all generations everywhere. Rajiv (Akshay’s real name) is known for his action movies, whereas, Shivaji (Rajnikanth’s real name) is known for the movies based on social issues. The whole industry is waiting to watch this pair as its trailers/teasers depict some unfettered visual imagination and unconventional thinking. Amy Jackson will also be playing a very significant role in the film. This movie claims to be one of the most expensive movies of all times.

I am sure that you must have heard the names of these movies, if not have watched yet.
– The man (Sean Foot) who created such spellbound characters in “Avatar” through his make-up skills, has been roped to do the makeup for the 2.0 characters.
– Kenny Bates, who got the fame after assisting many action scenes in “The Transformers” has also worked for 2.0.
– John Hughes, who has been awarded for “Life of Pi’s” VFX and 3D Modelling, is responsible for handling the VFX team of 2.0.
4. How Akki bagged the role?
According to the sources, Arnold Schwarzenegger was first approached for Pakshi Rajan’s (villain in 2.0) role. The team was not able to engage him in this collaboration due to his hefty quotations. Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan were also approached for this role and then, finally settled for Akki.
Well, they made the best choice out of all!
5. The Future Saga
S Shankar, who is the director of 2.0, has a huge strategic thoughts for this project. His long-term vision for 2.0 is what differentiates this movie from others. In one of his recent interviews, he said, “he aims to create more projects like Robot and 2.0” and this statement indicates that he might create 3.0, 4.0 in future.
